What causes Acne?
Acne is usually caused by (bacteria) an oil being trapped
in a folicle that then becomes infected and the infection, pus,
bacteria and oil mixture, cannot make it to the surface
of the skin to be expelled. So it swells and the infection grows
until it is visible as a zit or pimple or even in severe cases
a cyst.
Why does't the acne go away when I wash my face more often?
Acne is not caused by skin being unwashed. Even though washing
twice a day with warm water and mild soap will remove surface
oil and dry skin, acne is actually caused by a variety of
biologic factors that are beyond the control of washing.
Should I squeeze my pimples?
The squeezing of a zit or pimple that is inflamed could cause
the infection to be forced into the surrounding tissue causing
morine infection or even eventually scarring.
